My goodness, another year - another gallery. Lets hope it contains lots of interesting photos this year like 2009.
Have also upgraded the camera and now have a 12 M pixel Samsung PL57. Hoping for improved pictures with this piece of kit.

March 2009 saw Andy show his layout “Lydford Road” off at Carn Brea West of England exhibition for the first time. It’s a DCC layout based around the early 90’s in Dorset. 3rd rail may appear in the future.
The plan is to have more layouts as time permits. People welcome to get involved..

Well as 2009 draws to a close and we weep about the state of Cornwalls railway - interest wise, it's been an interesting year with visits by class 31, 37, 40, 47, 52, 57/6, 57/3. 60, 67 143 (!)and of course 66's. Not quite 1986, but lots of variety never the less.

| 3rd Dec 2007 | New Layout - Mount Charles
At last - we've moved in and attention can concentrate on my new layout! It's set in the garage this time 17ft x 9ft and will feature a terminus, extensive freight yard, loco depot and loads more. It may take time to construct, a new door is needed into the garage. But the fun starts here folks!

Here are some pictures of my dad's layout in Cornwall. Set in a garage and purpose built room its roughly 30 feet square!
During 2010 - the layout is transformed with a new roof and total change of direction. The layout is totally renewed with 4ft high boards and completely new design. Photos from framework onward here too.

Pictures from the Signalboxes of Cornwall. I was a Signalman from 1989 to 1994 and had the priviledge of visiting boxes from the early early 80's with friends I had made.
Bizarrely - I am qualified as a Signaller again from 2007 as part of my MOM duties. New photos included - digital this time so far improved.

Here is the Cornish Cream Gallery. It spans 1980 to the present day of life on Cornwall's railways predominantly in the 1980's. The class 50 and DMU pictures have been moved to a separate gallery within the site.
Many people have left kind comments about this gallery, and the amazing range of locomotives that have made it into the Duchy spanning class 20s to the mighty Deltics.
I have recently written some articles for magazines - The Hayle Wharves branch article is in the May 2007 Traction Magazine.

Welcome to the layout gallery. By far the most popular one on the site. My friends and I aspire to join the heady ranks of the "Professional Guild" of Model makers. That musty old masonic like organisation that few are privileged to enter.
Highlight of the year was the footage of me & my loft layout in BBC2's Home programme. Hope you had a chance to see it.
This layout has now been dismantled and we have we returned to Cornwall to live. This gallery will always be here to remind us of it though. And a new layout will start soon. Hope you'll follow its progress with me!
